With a natural flair for poetry and a love for children’s books, Mona made the most of the Inspire programme to get feedback on her manuscript and have it thoroughly edited. With the encouragement of her coaches, she pushed through to the illustration phase and published her book to great acclaim. Her book was shortlisted for Best Kids’ Book by Narrative House and has won a Daybreak Press Award.
